At the stunning celebration of Blüthner's 165th anniversary, the Blüthner Group found it fitting to challenge a standing Guinness World Record. 666 pianos and pianists performed Schubert’s Military March and an arrangement of the famous Radetzky by Johann Strauss Senior in perfect unison to win the title.
The contest coincided with the awards ceremony of the first ever International Carl Rönisch Piano Competition in Hengshui in China’s Hebei province, organized by Blüthner. An international team of world class pianists and professors, including Prof. Christopher Hinterhuber (Vienna), Prof. Grigory Gruzman (Weimar), Prof. Alexander Schimpf (Hannover), Prof. Katarzyna Popova-Zydron (Poland), Patricia Frehlich (Canada), YIN Tin (China), and Prof. Elenore Wong (Hong Kong) led the performance along with the Hengshui Philharmonic.
